Iggy Loves TV

Thursday, May 27, 2010
Iggy has never really been in a position where she can see the TV and in her new home, she has a pretty good view of it. She has been watching Food Network with me for the last week, it's too funny. She's taking a break right now but she seems to be really in tune with what's on. She moves her eyes and head if something with brighter colors come on. Also, it seems like she recognizes animals as she becomes more alert.
Being unemployed and pregnant, all I really do is just look at Iggy so trust me on these observations haha.

So here are some new pictures of my girl hanging out. She's really been doing great here in Absecon. Honestly, I think part of it is because Brian is here. She really likes him! I'm also surprised that the smell of the cat hasn't bothered her, either.

After her bath : )

Looking outside

Hilarious pose haha

So, this television post makes me think about how many pets are out there just bored out of their mind. Whether it's an iguana, dog, or sugar glider each pet needs a certain amount of stimulation. Heck, even a hermit crab needs some space to move around in and a hamster needs a wheel. Iguanas are absolutely no different, and actually have more involved needs regarding stimulation. They like bright colors especially greens and pinks (like flowers) and enjoy staring out the window for hours, longer than even our cat or dogs care to look out the window! If you have no access to a window even some television time may be better than nothing.
