Introducing Other Pets to Iguanas

Iggy's first year was spent living in a house with 2 yappy annoying dogs. They rarely came into the room where Iggy was so she didn't get too much exposure to them but when she did, she promptly extended her dewlap and got very mad. If she sees a dog outside she will freak out and run away. She is VERY afraid.

I was unsure of how the initial meeting between Iggy and Pixie, the cat, would go. Pixie is a pretty insane cat, super feisty and it seems like she has mental issues haha. So, I put Iggy on the ground and Pixie was about 5 feet away. Iggy did a quick territorial head-bob and than walked right past her without fear! I think the cat was more freaked out than Iggy was.

I will never leave the two of them alone unsupervised but I am really glad to see that there wasn't an initial hatred or attack.
